My endless search for the perfect map (recommendation wanted)

Post by SwissLP »

Hello There,
The University summer break has arrived, and with it a new ls session :)
Now I am once again on the search for a new map
My all time favorite was the Made in Germany Map back in FS 2015
Ever since I played this map, I always wanted a map just like this one again.
Especially the combination of small and big fields with the unique shape of each individual was the best I ever saw.
Now my Question, is there a map with the same type of fields somewhere in the FS 22 World?

Thanks in advance

As you call the game LS and played a German map, I'm guessing you speak German in which case I'm surprised you didn't ask in the German part of the forum ;D.. Didn't play FS15, and dunno what map that is, but my favorite map so far is Calmden. Varying field sizes, but dunno your definition of big, so you might consider them all small.. No roads for big equipment at least ;).. But cozy atmosphere. The maps based on real places have a tendency to look more real to me.

I've seen several German maps in the modhub though. Waldstetten looks interesting for instance. The built in alpine map is also nice I think..

You are perfectly right, I speak german as my native language :biggrin2: Actually I live in the german speaking part of switzerland.
But I just completed my first english certificate for my studies (as you can tell by my rough english.. I'm still learning) and tought to myself why not give it a try in the english Section as well :)

Thank you for your recommendations, I will give them a try! Have a nice evening.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the map 'Landersum'. It is based in the Münsterland in western Germany and has a mix of small and big fields (<1 ha to > 40 ha) It is also pretty detailed and offers about 10 to 15 individual farms you can chose from.

I'll second Landersum. It's a great map.

If you want a 4x map, check out Landkreis Rostock. Field sizes range from 1.7ha to 90ha, with plenty in between. It's also based on a real area, so it has a more authentic feel. If you are into large scale animal husbandry, the map has built in factories and yards to support a staggering number of animals too. This is my favourite map since MVP19, I already have 150 hours on it.

Landersum seems to be no longer available in the ModHub.

If it has been removed from the modhub then it won’t show in your installed mod list. I believe it gets moved to the miscellaneous tab.

You could also try maps like Western Wilds and No man's Land, then you could make the map any way you wish to.

I recommend you three maps:

1. Hof Bergmann - The map which seperates players from real farmers. Only manual work, get your hands dirty and work hard.
2. Western Wilds - A sandbox map which would let you use your imagination in order to achieve your goals.
3. Lapacho Farm - Estancia Lapacho in FS22.

Happy Farming *thumbsup*
John Deere - Nothing runs like a deere !

UK map: Calmsden (probably the most realistic to real life)
Euro map: The Old Stream Farm (always the favorite for small medium farms)
German map: Waldstetten (huge open fields)
