Skids steers

Post by FarmerSkidSteer »

Gday giants it would be nice if we can have zero turn or idle turn on all skid steers.. please as only the NH c332 has it at this time.

Yes, and could we ALSO have tracked / skid steering set up as different control axis / setting.

And have two options, combined or seperate.

Example,

Normal controls for vehicles will be accelerator, brake, turn left and turn right.

Skid steer will have either the above options (but only applies to skid steer vehicles) or left side forward, left sidd reverse, right side forward and right side reverse.

And skidsteer vehicles should mostly ignore stop and go and manual direction change options.

A skidsteer loader in the real world has a number of control options, foot controls for tool and hand controls for drive, or duel joysticks for both.

Joysticks mostly use combined controls where the left stick drives forward and backward and rotates the machine left and right, but CAN be configured to do split driving. That is the left stick with control the left wheels and lift / lower the boom while the right stick does the right wheels and tilts the tool.

Many of us use steering wheels and dual joysticks.

It would be nice if we could assign the steering wheel to vehicles that have steering wheels, and the joystick to vehicles that use a joystick, with proper control systems.

BTW, if you've ever seen a skidsteer loader doing stunts like balancing on its front wheels, this is most easily achieved in older foot and hand control machines.

Your arms become an extension of the machines movement and the finest, most precise movements are possible.
