Dear all,

as the micro stuttering and FPS drops just became to annoying to ignore, I have taken a closer look at the Settings of Farming Simulator 19. The results I would like to present here:

You need to have Nvidia Driver 416.94 installed

Point 1:
First thing to do is backing up your gameSettings.xml and game.xml by renaming them gameSettings1.xml and game1.xml, or moving them to another location.

You can find the XMLs here:

Code: Select all

C:\Users\(your Name)\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2019
Insert the XMLs corresponding to your screen resolution from the downloads at bottom of this post.

Point 2:
Go to your Desktop and right mouse click on an empty part of it, selecting the Nvidia settings from the menu.

Go to the 3D Settings tab and select FarmingSimulator2019Game.exe; if not present, please Add it through the menu manually.

You can find the EXE-File for Steam here:

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Farming Simulator 19\x64
All other Versions:

Code: Select all

Farming Simulator 19\x64
Once this is done, scroll down the list and select vsync: From the dropdown menu, select the option “Fast” and click Apply to save the setting.
The option 'Fast' works only with NVIDIAS 9xx series and above. For all other selct the option “Fast”

But what its actually does? i deactivated the adaptive synchronisation and vertical synchronisation and set the antialiasing to x2 and screen resolution to 125% this have the same effect as 8x anti aliasing but only a less of the power from the card.

please give me a feedback if this workaround works :)

I'm using a G-Sync monitor, which is what Fast in the control panel is apparently meant to work with, and it's worked a treat, thanks mate :)

I got 60 Hz 23' LCD and GTX 970. I set it to fast and damn game finally feels so smooth, even when I record with GFE.

which CPU and GPU you use?

I5 8600K 5Ghz & RTX 2080TI, so I don't think that causes the problem.

The only thing that helps is restarting the game after some time. Then the waiting begins for the stutters to return.
It's probably a minor thing to most, but it annoys the hell out of me.

So this solution won't work with a 750ti??

I do not believe it will and this also includes my card which is a 1060. One of his changes include increasing the resolution scaling. Just this alone is asking for a card starting at 1070.

You shouldn't have to 'boost' your Graphics card or your processor to make this game run at 60FPS on the max settings. All your doing is using MORE unnecessary processing power and doing actual harm to your computer. If your gonna do this at least download RealTemp or another program that allows you to keep track of the temperature of your computer.

I have an i5-6400 @ 2.70GHz, a Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 (yes a 950...), 8GB of RAM and have absolutely 0 issues with any framerate or lag. Every setting in the game is maxed out as high as it can go, and I run on a 90 degree field of view. My monitor is an Asus VP-278 and I run the game on 1920x1080. Try turning V-sync off, and run the game resolution the same as your monitor. I really feel like all of these 'lag' and 'frame' issues are not an in-game issue. This game is actually incredibly optimized for performance.

When I run without Vsync on my system, I get the screen tear issue so running without it is not an option. Overall performance without the initial stuttering is not the problem currently. The issue is with the ingame aliasing. If I run it at 4x, the overall visual affect is not any better, but the stuttering will start based on location in map. I still believe Giants needs to tweak their graphics engine a bit.

This game is not at all optimized. And it is not the frame rate I'm having trouble with, i'm doing 60 fps at 3440x1440 with 35% GPU usage, it's the inconsistent frame times with Vsync on. Without Vsync you get a lot of tearing.

Definitely haven't had any tearing with V-sync off and I've put almost 60 hours into the game already. Its probably just your monitor. You should take the time to go through the settings and find what works best for you. Mine just happens to run completely fine at constant 60 FPS with 0 tearing on the absolute highest settings with V-sync off. I actually wish I could push these specs further. You can also do serious harm to your hardware by letting your computer overheat, especially if your trying to push it beyond its normal limits than plan to play on it for x amount of hours.

This actually helped. I didn't have any stutter issues but this increase my FPS and it looks better and I didn't need V-Sync on where as before I needed it due to screen tearing. Now no tearing! Sweet! However, the two files were in German and I had to edit and change it to English and bring down the FOV to 70, 90 was too small for my 32 inch 75 mHz monitor. Thanks!
