BGA Bunker Problem

Post by HC1Gunner »

I filled and covered both sides at the same time, and both sides had been at 100% fermentation around 4 - 5 game days.
I emptied the right side with no issues, and then started on the left, and somewhere during the process of working with silage fork to load my truck, the edge of the silage quit showing, and it was totally covered with trap again.
I've tried everything, silage fork, Verti- Mix, nothing will touch it. The menu just displays the fill level, but there is no "R" available, and it does not show any percentage of fermentation. it has now sit for another 3 - 4 days.
Without messing up my save game, is there an xml file I can edit for the map that will empty the bunker, I don't mind loosing the silage. I just need the bunker empty because I have more corn to chop and nowhere to put it, and I don't want to use a placeable mod bunker either. I would rather just use the default Giant bunker at the BGA.

if you don't mind loosing the silage and digestate there is an easy fix that works on console as well, just sell and re-buy the BGA, this will empty the silos and digestate tank. on PC you can edit the items.xml file, look for the bga tag like in the code below and change the openedAt(Front or Back) to false and you should be able to reopen it to get the rest of the silage.

</bga>
<bunkerSilo index="1" state="3" fillLevel="101476.187500" compactedFillLevel="201412.703125" fermentingTime="64800000.000000" openedAtFront="true" openedAtBack="false"/>
<bunkerSilo index="2" state="3" fillLevel="459079.375000" compactedFillLevel="313095.250000" fermentingTime="64800000.000000" openedAtFront="true" openedAtBack="false"/>

Thanks a bunch Kaitto!
I'm on a PC, so I did the edit to the items xml, at around 160K of silage removed, it would do the same thing. Took me (6) saves/exits, but I finally was able to empty it.

I know when FS19 was released Giant had bugs with its BGA. I'm farming on the MI map, and most of these map builders just important everything from one of Giant's vanilla maps. So I'm not sure if if Giant's BGA still has issues, or the fault lies in the import the author did. But its probably going to repeat itself, but thanks to your reply I have fix.

you're welcome, I also had problems with the bga, but to me it happened when I was on XB1 so the only workaround I found was selling the bga and loosing over 300kl of silage, unfortunately bga problem is a legacy from FS17 and had never been fix, FS15 didn't have it since it opened all the silo at once. now I hardly play on XB1, mostly cause of maps mods on PC, Michigan is one of my favorites.

What would really fix the problem is...for someone to get cracking, and release a fermenting vertical silo mod, then pitch the ground bunkers.
