Why is it that I have FPS below 60 but still my GPU seems to be "chilling out" ...
I sort of expect it to start working harder to compensate for this ... but the load seems to be pretty stable no matter what ...

Frame drops vs GPU load !?
[Win11] Intel Core i9-13900F Tray 5.6GHz / MSI RTX4090 24GB GDDR6 / 2x16GB 5600MHz DDR5
Re: Frame drops vs GPU load !?
I am having the same issue... also with i7 6700k and GTX 1070. GPU load never reaches 100% also CPU sitting around 15-25% load so it's not bottleneck. FPS drops in very random places it is definitely not a hardware issue. CPU temp sits around 45-50c GPU around 55-60c so no issue here either... Developers should look this up.

In the game.xml there is a line like this ...
Auto !?
And the "blue Line" (VRel) ?
Do I need a better power supply?
Code: Select all
<gpuPerformanceClass>auto</gpuPerformanceClass>

Re: Frame drops vs GPU load !?
My very basic understanding on VRel is that it signifies the maximum, reliable voltage that your card can take. In other words, it's not a problem, but in order to send more power to it you'll need to overclock it to get it more. I'm not recommending that you do that, but I THINK that that's what that means.
Looking at your other specs, it really seems that you card is just loafing along. Unless I'm misreading it, you've got a LOT of headspace there. Not that it helps, but mine does the same. The game is poorly optimized.

Re: Frame drops vs GPU load !?
I saw that but have not yet tried it. I can say that, on my system at least, putting V-Sync on fast (schnell) causes all sorts of problems. In fact, turning V-Sync to anything but "on" either in Nvidia or in the game makes it all worse. I'll give the rest of it a go, though.

Re: Frame drops vs GPU load !?
For those who are experiencing the stuttering, how is the antialiasing or the jaggies? My system is a 6 year old i5 system, but the video card is EVGA's SC 1060. I have the settings set up so that the stuttering is almost non-existent, but the antialiasing is not the greatest. As was previously stated, the game engine needs more work.

It seems normal to me.
Also, if you needed a new PSU it would show by sudden rebooting because it lacks power.
