Hello,

I am very disappointed that this is happening after spending $20 on a game that doesn't even work. I am trying to play FS 17 and it says that the game.xml file is different in different locations. I have deleted them and verified the files and looked at multiple tutorials but nothing is working. I am refunding the game and will rebuy it if someone can help me fix this so I can actually play the game. Thanks.

It looks like you are using steam?
Is the steam cloud activated for that game?
If yes, you can deactivate the usage for FS17, because it can lead to problem like you are describing.

Same is true for OneDrive. In case of FS that can also cause trouble. You might want to deactivate it, too.
