Collision with an object

Ok, I've been playing FS19 pretty much since it came out. I won't lie and say it hasnt had it's growing pains and has come a long way from the start, but there is still one major problem that I cannot get over. Placing buildings is aggravating at best. Even with a clear unobstructed area of land, the game is not having any of it. I know there are mods to fix this, but playing on a console with no major plans to move to a PC setup, are there any work around for this problem.
