Terrain can’t be deformed

Post by Saskboy97 »

I moved a bunch of hills and tried to place a new cow pasture by my old one. It’s telling me the ground cannot be deformed. Can’t place anything in this area. Anything I can do?

Which map are you on? What system are you playing on?
Have you cut any trees down in this area? If you have it could be that there are stumps remaining underground which are causing the issue. You can try lowering the ground to see if any tree stumps exist then remove them with the stump grinder. Then raise the ground and try placing objects again.

I’m on ravenport, ps4, I have cut down trees but I moved the ground and there’s no stumps. There was a shed in the area a while ago

It may just be too close to the existing cow pasture, they don't like being placed close to eachother. The placeable system can be a bit temperamental it seems.
There is a mod on PC that allows you to place anywhere but there's nothing similar on console as of yet unfortunately.
