Xbox One Multiplayer

This is very odd. If I make a multi-player game my girlfriend can't connect to it but, if she makes one I can connect to it just fine. The major issue is that we have worked very hard on a farm together and it is now huge but we can't work it together anymore and we don't to start from scratch. I am out of ideas. We both have Open NAT, and we are both hardwired into our respective modems. She can join other people's games, it just seems to be mine that she can not join. It is very perplexing and disheartening that we can no longer work our farm together.
