FS17 crash on startup on gpd win 3

Post by AuntiePixel »

Just got in my gpd win 3 handheld pc, and installed farming simulator 17. When I launch it, I get still image of a farm with "loading" on the screen for just a second, then the game crashes to desktop.
Some system notes: Windows 10, fully updated. Tiger lake processor with iris xe graphics, drivers updated. 1280x720 screen.

I tried opening the game.xml and forcing lower resolutions, windowed mode, but still crashes. Log.txt didn't show anything odd I could see. FS19 runs fine, but I prefer 17.

Any advice?

Although it didn't tell you anything, please attach your log as it contains further detail on your system and how far FS is loaded etc.

Did you ever get a resolution to this problem? I'm having the same problem (crash on startup, no error in log.txt) on a new Surface Pro 8 with Iris Xe graphics

Thanks

Never did, sadly. FS 19 still works fine. I keep hoping a driver update will fix it, but no luck so far.

I got FS17 to work on my Surface Pro 8 with this method :

I followed this (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en ... phics.html) to update graphics drivers to v30.0.100.9955

FS17 from Steam now launches, but only with laptop WiFi turned off, and Steam in offline mode (just using Offline Mode doesn't work, WiFi must be off)
