Errors in Rottne DLC

Post by SimDala »

Hi,

Probably others that mention this, but there are some major issues about the Rottne DLC that have a great neative impact of the overal impression, such as:

The crane of the forwarder boom has to small moving range. The boom should be able to be more into vertical position. The difference angle is to big.

The crane of the forwarder also has to small turning angle. It's set to about 340 degrees but should be 380 degrees.

The controllers for the harvester is switched and not following the ISO 15078 standard.

The in cabin joysticks are also mapped to wrong moving functions, not following ISO 15078 either.
This is applied to both harvester and forwarder.

There's more but this should be enough for now.

Hi,

I just bump up this thread, as we have really no news about this.

Just to recall it was NOT A FREE DLC, and it has obvious errors.
At least tell us why it takes so long.

DLC is out since 03-16-21 oh and we are the 06-25-21.

You can't in the same time, allow like 10 new mods a day, and let this paid DLC in this state for so long.

Cheers.

Oh my an ISO standard… that’s a nit pick not a bug.
The F20D should have 370 not 380 degrees of rotation.
And neither is a bug, they both were intentionally set like that. It’s a design error on GIANTS part.
And the mod comment, GIANTS can (and does) and the DLC development and mod testing are seperate so why shouldn’t they test player submitted mods?
FS15 & FS19 Platinum Edition PC (and War Thunder, Gaijin is way worse than GIANTS ever has been accused of being)

The Kverneland dlc still has things that don't work as they should so I would not hold your breath on this getting sorted anytime soon.

Yes, I doubt that this will be updated but really strange why such a major error in a DLC exists. It would be another thing if it was just a mod easy to fix for whoever wants.

But since the easy crane mode also has similar issues about the controls it seems that Giants haven't the knowledge to do this correct.

Same with the Sampo Rosenlew harvester. They have also here switched lift/lower and in/out controls, beside the wierd constraints of the crane over all. But at least this is quite easy to fix in a mod.
