Localization mistake: Overloading

Post by wbthacker »

FS continues to use "overloading" when it means "unloading".

I can't speak for the entire English-speaking world, but here in the USA "overloading" means "to load more than the normal capacity." E.g., "John overloaded his truck so badly that the springs broke."

The word FS should be using is just "unloading". "Overloading" is actually confusing, especially now that trailer capacity is measured by weight AND volume; today, "overloading" out to refer to when the trailer is already at weight capacity but you can still add stuff because there is volume remaining.

Loading: add material until the trailer's weight capacity is reached.
Overloading: continue adding material beyond weight capacity until volume capacity is reached.
Unloading: remove material
