xbox controller on MacBook Pro M!

Hi!, I recently switched to a Mac after years on Windows, and I am unable to use the wireless xbox controller in FS22.

The controller works fine within the Steam environment, and on the Mac itself. It even shows up in a pop-up box when I open the game, but it does not function.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
