FS19 strobe lighting / shadows

Post by Cryogenix001 »

- PC/Mac/PS4/XB1: PC
- Vehicle/Tool/Model/Object: All
- Issue: Lights and shadows strobing/jumping when altering times (see vid below). Looks terrible and breaks all immersion, also makes me feel ill after a while giving me a headache from the jumpiness. FS15-17 did not act in this way. Happens even on highest graphics settings, only turning off shadows stops this but then game looks awful in comparison.
- Single- or Multiplayer: both
- Steps to reproduce: Load game and alter time settings (x30, x60 etc, x60 is particularly bad.)
- Does it happen on a standard map without mods yes/no: Yes, no mods

Please try in game so as to see how jarring it really is - video does not do justice to how bad this is.

Agree, it looks awful.
And I have it too, as you say... only turning off shadows completely seems to have an effect.

Thanks for the link, doesn't hurt to report it again, I feel the more reports of this the better as it's truly atrocious. Genuinely makes me feel ill and cannot imagine i am alone in this. The videos really don't show it properly, on a 49inch 4k TV we were playing on in the front room the joltiness / jumping is absurd. The video I took was on my 32" 1440p monitor I use for work to see if its still as bad and whilst not as bad is still awful.
