Combine harvester header smoke and FPS drop

While harvesting, the header creates a smoke effect to simulate dust rising from the crops. The problem is that, because there is now wind in the game, the smoke always rises vertically blocking visibility, it's like a fog. In real life, combine operators avoid cutting against the wind direction to prevent this. Is there a way to disable this in the game?
Also, like in FS17, cutting wheat or barley creates a FPS drop.
