[SOLVED] Hydraulic strength

Post by Vive_ut_vivas »

- PC/Mac/PS4/XB1: PC, PS4
- Vehicle/Tool/Model/Object: All vehicles capable of hydraulics, like telehandlers.
- Issue: Picking up wood there is no power at all the log fork wont close normally. Items slip through easily.
- Single- or Multiplayer: Both
- Steps to reproduce: Any hydraulic closing action lacks power.
- Does it happen on a standard map without mods yes/no both.

WE CAN'T DO FORESTRY BECAUSE WE CAN'T PICK LOG!

changelog is for the full 1.2 release which comes out today, they may not have had it in the beta version but I would suggest testing after you get the full 1.2 patch and let them know

Still not fixed as of 12/24/18. I have a whole field of mature trees ready to log with a crappy loader to try to load on trailer.

Very frustrating

I had same problems with machines with hydraulics grabbing, i tried all the machines, seems to be problem with force to move the log. Bigger and stronger machines like komatsu doing it better, also
seems the smaller logs are more easy to handle.

PC, 1.2.0.1

A work around is using the manure fork for the telehandler

We had the same issue. It feels really stupid using those Forks, as they won't grab stuff properly. Its like those damn Claw Crane games where you think you got the item but they would not even be able to grab a feather...

Our solution for now is using the Mod "Stoll log fork duo" for fs19.

It even has added tension belts, but the Grabbing mechanism itself is working like a charm! It even is able to pick up a log and "pull it in" to a full grasp of the claws instead of just clamping it with the tip.

Where is that mod? I agree, the log grabbers all need work. I am waititng for one of my fav FS17 mods which adds a Ponsee crane that can be mounted to a tractor via the 3 point hitch to show up again. At this point I find the semi log trailor to be all but useless since there is no effective way to load the darn thing. The crane on the komatsu and the ponsee buffalo both work, but since they are also log carrier inofthemselevs, no point in the semi trailer. I have not yet tried to pickup one of the thick trees with the log fork from the wheel loader. I wish they had a log fork for the wheel loader that could handle the smaller trees and worked.

Half the time with the log forks, I tend to half to grab the tree from the top and tilt it up, BUT, only the forks form the front-loader really work this way and that is still iffy. One obvious fix to me, make the top fork 3 inches longer. I am sure thos eof us who have actually tried to do logging, can come up with all kinds of fixes. Sometimes I think that no one at Giants actually plays the game.
