Steering any vehicle only with the mouse is not working.

- Issue:
I want to set the control of each vehicle only with the mouse.

In settings, I've shifted everything in the control options and everything works. However, when I stop moving the mouse to the side, the wheels will go back in the straight line, even though I set the speed of the return of the wheels to 0% (basically it does not react at all). If I drive with the keyboard (keys "A" "D") the steering responds normally and the return of the wheels as well. If I drive with the mouse there is a problem with returning wheels to the starting points. I would love if the mouse could be driven like a driving-wheel or a joystick.
In version FS17 there was a mod "mouse steering" which perfectly replaced the steering wheel and it worked perfectly.

Why don't you get a wheel?

So what you are hoping for here is that when you stop moving the mouse, you want the wheels to stop where they are - as in not straight at the angle you left them?

I'm not sure that is how it works, the game needs an axis to determine the position of something..

Like you say I think the best thing here would be to sit tight and wait for a mod to come out, I wouldn't say this is a bug..

I do not have a wheel because I do not want it! I used a joystick and the control is not good and there is another extra component... I just do not want.
You're not sure it can work as I'm describing ...
Interestingly, a person who has absolutely nothing to do with Giants Software can do this as a mod (for FS17) and Giants Software does not know it? And with the steering wheel, the joystick and the keyboard it works and with the mouse not? That's a little weird, do not you think?

And by the way, it works, the wheels control the mouse, turn around, just return immediately to the straight line if you stop moving the mouse. It's like picking up a loader (which is also controlled by a mouse) and at the moment when you stop moving the mouse, the loader returns to the ground...
this is not normal...
it's easy to understand???

I'm certain Giants would know how to implement this if they intended it to work like that. I imagine there is a return to centre value for the steering in the coding somewhere which would just need removing when the mouse input stops.
Steering wheels and joysticks work like an analogue input on an axis which is why they work differently to a mouse.

Bottom line here is be patient if a mod came out for FS17 (keyboard steering mod) then I'm sure someone will make one for FS19...There is a lot going on at the moment as this game is still very new. :-)

When you do mouse steer the wheels will point in whatever direction you moved the mouse from its starting position, which means you have to move the mouse back to straighten the wheels up. This is how steering normally works with anything that isn't a digital input like a keyboard. Since the game isn't designed for mouse steer, and mouse steer in general is not recommended (it's really bad for your wrist) or any good because it's super inaccurate, I doubt you can expect it to work any other way.

Try it first, let's know what you're talking about, ok?? If I wreck my wrists it is purely my thing. In FS17 with mod "Mouse steering" it worked perfectly without errors but in 19 NO! How it makes sense to change any control in the setting when the game does not work well then?
And what you describe at the beginning of your contribution is not true because the wheels will return to the starting position even when the mouse remains at rest.
Mouse control is absolutely free of error in the game Euro Truck simulator 2 and I suspect the Giants have inspired and some elements are very similar but with errors!
