Unable to join MP server - stuck synchronizing data with other players 29%

Attempting to join a dedicated multiplayer server I am running, my game is getting stuck on the loading screen with the message "Synchronizing data with other players... 29%"

Yesterday (as of the writing of this message) everything worked just fine. Today, I can not connect at all. In contact with 2 other players who are on the server as of this writing and they report everything working normally.
I have not made any changes to the server's configuration or mods or anything since the last time I successfully connected to the server yesterday. Have not made any changes to my game either.

Game log just shows me joining the game and nothing else. "2019-01-26 09:10 Krahazik joined the game"

The game is just sitting there not making any progress. Up to 8 minutes.

we have exactly the same problem, we have already gone through two different servers, and it still persists, at first everything is fine, but after a couple of days there are problems.

Waiting for response from giant bug.
