Nope, that's how it works in real life. Forage harvesters only have their high couplings and not low ball couplings that most trailers require to be attached.
I assume people don't use Seasons, unless they say otherwise.

Ok, explain why the Krone 580, put out by Giants, can attach any trailer, wagon or dolly?

The main reason it isn't done in real life is because swapping trailers takes longer than it takes to fill the trailer with some of these harvesters. Where as pull type forage harvesters swap wagons all the time. It wouldn't be an issue in the game if the helper wasn't worthless, but most people don't want to follow the forage harvester around the field as their "fun" activity.

Giants didn't put the hitch on because they're lazy/forgot. Even if it did have one, anything that is a wagon will jackknife with the helper because the AI is stuff.

The 580 wasn't made correctly...
The fact that switching trailers costs too much time might be the reason the self propelled forage harvesters don't have 'low' hitches. But that doesn't really change the fact that they were NOT made to pull trailers.

Use the Randon Trailer with built in dolly. 66,000 liters isn't small either and it can dump into another trailer

Might have to try that

The 580 is a converted FS17 version. The simply forgot to change the rear hitch according to reality.

In reality forage harvesters are NOT supposed and NOT designed to pull large trailers. Their rear hitch is used for the cutter trailers (like the trailer for the Krone XDISC 620) and usually limited to around 8 tons pull capacity.
So Giants goes the correct route not having low hitches available on the forage harvesters according to realism. Sure, from a players point of view, this is the wrong way.
