Hey guys, I found out that the Reversing Indoor Camera mod is working ok when in cab, 60 fps all around, but outside cam is lagging as crazy. Remove the mod and all is well. Needs a little TLC from the author. Awesome mod though, love the way it works.
EDIT:
Problem solved AND overall mod improved. WOW....
Holy smokes Batman, you did it. No, really, this is awesome dude. Thanks for the quick response. The camera works like a charm.
This is a perfect realism add-on. Thanks a million.
For fix, download the updated mod from the hub.

Hi, do you have any errors in your log file? Is it in SP or MP?
Re: Reversing Indoor Camera mod FPS issues.
Problem is with mod Vehicle Control Addon (some incompatibility with my mod). FPS drops everytime i use the Outdoor cam. It seems that FPS return back after switch Shuttle On / Off or change transmission type in VCA setting menu. But after exit and enter vehicle again FPS drops again. I have to look at this more deeper...
Re: Reversing Indoor Camera mod FPS issues.
Hi, thanks for answering. No, nothing in the log and game is running with no errors at all. It is the frame drops that are noticeably present.
But we all trust you'll find a solution.
And I also use that VCA mod, removed that and put yours back in and no fps drops. Seems to make your assumption legit.
Enjoy your search for the culprit code, seems there isn't much else to do a this time while being locked up at home.
Stay safe, stay healthy......

Re: Reversing Indoor Camera mod FPS issues.
Finally, i found solution. I will fix it in next version soon but it takes some time until Giants upload my new version. For those, who want to enjoy my mod together with Vehicle Control Addon without fps drop, here is a little trick:
Open file "ReversingCamera.lua" from my zip archive in text editor (notepad++) and simply delete lines 638 and 639.
If you have other questions or issues, let me know.
Edit - if you delete that lines, FPS drop dissapear but there are errors in log file...

Re: Reversing Indoor Camera mod FPS issues.
Hi, really like your mod and would like to ask if it is possible to add a snap 45 degrees left and right finctions? Just like in "Quick Camera".
I also get FPS drops but I do not have the Vehicle Controls Addon installed. I did try it out but deleted it afterwards and still get FPS drops. Will test your solution and let you know how it goes. Thank you for such a quick fix on FPS drop. You are awesome!

Re: Reversing Indoor Camera mod FPS issues.
Tried your solution but along with fixing the FPS it also destroyed almost all functions of the mod. As far as I see the only function I got left is peek out of the left window. Is it the same for everyone?
Maybe I deleted the wrong lines? These are the lines I deleted:
function ReversingCamera:onDraw()
end

Re: Reversing Indoor Camera mod FPS issues.
You deleted right lines. My solution was bad. I only checked fps drop but nothing else. I will look at it tomorrow, now its a beer time
Re: Reversing Indoor Camera mod FPS issues.
I am working on FPS drop problem and it seems good to me. I already fix this other error:
Error: Running LUA method 'update'. ReversingCamera.lua:629: attempt to index a nil value
It appears in client-host MP game when client try to enter vehicle.
Do you have any other errors or issues with this mod? If so, write it here please before i release new version.

Re: Reversing Indoor Camera mod FPS issues.
Did not find any other bugs, but I'm not actually using the mod. FPS drops to 20 for me... Old PC. Other ppl might also be in the same situation.
Re: Reversing Indoor Camera mod FPS issues.
Awesome, the trick you suggest can wait. I'll be using the new version when you get that done and released.kenny456 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2020 7:03 pm Finally, i found solution.
