Gotcha. Let me ask you this: what are some names I could use to honor you by naming something after you?
See you up the road!

Could use the number 13 use that number for a lot of stuff, or name a bar or something mwal that’s where the name is from when I would have a few to many I would tend to go “mwal” as my buddy who was in the army put it as he was kicking me the next day to wake me up on the backyard trampoline haha

I can work with the number 13. Since you're a construction worker, the highway yard will be named after you. So may the powers that be henceforth know that all roads and right-of-ways inside No Man's Land shall fall under the jurisdiction of Highway District 13. :biggrin2:

Good news if this district expands to Missouri, DEERE won't have to worry about DOT regulations :wink3:

I’m dead.
Thanks for the good chuckle. Does that mean the AI gets more realistic and therefore more dangerous?

It's a possibility. Just make sure to place an RTK station near wherever they're heading, they won't know where they're going without GPS :biggrin2:

And I'm glad to hear you get a chuckle, I get one just from typing something completely on-topic

I hope they don’t figure out how to pass!
By far the most unnerving part of roading IRL is every time someone comes flying around from behind to pass, it’s just a “c’mon people, I know I’m slow but at least don’t fly around” (granted it usually happens more with an escort vehicle as people pass the escort and are already re entering into the lane right in front of me)

Oh yea, yesterday I was on the freeway coming home with some of my family from an appointment, and I'm pretty sure half the cars in my vicinity ended up passing me. And I was going 3mph over the speed limit. Rush hour

I'm going to stop before I hijack Spunky's thread, we can reconvene in the off the rails area if you like lol :blushnew:

I thought we were discussing the hypothetical enhanced realism/increased kill drive of Highway area 13’s traffic

EPISODE III: BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN

Welcome back all! Spring has sprung, winter has released its grip on the earth, our crops are in the ground at Spunky Dogg Farms for Year 6 of our operation and we are back at it turning dirt on No Man's Land.

It is the third day of spring now and work is continuing simultaneously on two areas of the map. We have finished grading both lanes of U.S. Route 83 from the main road to 82's Logistics and completed bridge construction (as seen below) over the Copperhead Creek, which was part of our goals of Phase I of construction.

We will have to build another bridge to cross the river further to the east, but that is a task that will be undertaken later.

Image

Meanwhile, we have graded State Route 144 from the DOT Highway District 13 yard south of the farm across the ridge above Deere Lake and back to the main road. It is also about 25 percent paved at this point. There is an old road that leads to the abandoned logging camp with a woodchips sellpoint, which will be one of our forested areas of the map.

Progress is slow, but the process is meticulous. We believe in getting it right the first time. We need to finish paving this section of Route 144 and begin paving Route 83 with concrete.

Phase II of construction is to grade Route 83 from 82's Logistics to Raccoon Corners to the north. One lane is crudely plowed to the Fort Donaldson State Recreation Area, which is south of Raccoon Corners, but the whole thing probably needs to be redone.

On a side note, I have officially passed the 500-hour mark on No Man's Land.

Thanks, as always, for reading and see you up the road!
