FS19 engine sound ...

Post by W1der »

So, I have been looking at some FS19 clips ...

I remember from first impressions of FS17 that the engine sound was a huge improvement over FS15.
Not sure what to think about the sound in FS19.

What do you guys think?

I’ve always thought it was good especially considering they go and get it from the actual tractors themselves so I’ve never had a problem with them

meh they haven't really been the best, is it just me or do they seem computerized in fs17. Also a bit copy and paste, I wish you could hear them from further. Anyone who has been any where close to a combine knows you can hear that humming from half way across the field.

Believe me the sounds are amazing. On a hill top you can hear the wind howling. It's quiet beautiful actually.

As long as they dont deliver gearbox and switch sounds, the tractors will always sound way too linear. Squeaking and all those little immersive sounds are missing too. I started Fs19 and wanted to hear the sounds of the John Deere tractors and they are among the worst. Huge disappointment imo.

I think the sounds in FS19 are a big improvement from FS17.

Seriously?

Must be something wrong with my sound ... all I am hearing is "sowing machines" when I press the gas pedal!
... :hmm:

In cabin I need to crank the volume up to be able to hear if I have my indicators turned on ... and outside I need to get really close (zoom out and it goes dead silent).

This big contrast in the engine sound volume is driving me nuts!

The vehicles do not sound as good as FS17. The music *censored* too but hey, I'll just use my own.

There is a ridiculous amount of sound deadening in the cab. Really getting into my nerves.
On the other hand engine sounds are almost identical to real life counter parts.
I have been watching real life farming videos for a long time and almost no tractor sounds even close to what they sounded in FS17.
FS17 sounds are cool and lovely. But not real.
Which one I like more? Well, without a doubt FS17. Cause every tractor had a character with those fine tuned sounds.
May be some overdozing on the reality part here.

I like realistic sounds. Most of the tractors in 17 sounded like an air compressor running all of the time.
FS22 is the best one yet. Fight me!

Mudrunner has great sounds... those dirty Russian trucks, especially the B-131 starting up can melt your heart
