Rain?

Post by lefe1 »

just a question. I am playing on new farmer to get my test map going.(ravenport ps4) and i'm going on my 26 day of farming and had zero rain. is it because i'm playing on new farmer? and has any one had rain playing on new farmer? Thanks

I'm farm manager on Felsbrunn and didn't had rain too. Not even once. I don't know how to check ingame days, but I think it's 20+ days for sure.

In FS17 you could check forecast for 7 days, am I right? Here I dont see that option.

Same here with Ravenport about 67 hours (that's at least 24 in-game days), new farmer.

Saw the post and just remembered that I didn't have any Rain in Ravensport since the beginning. I Play on start from scratch but the result is the same... I'm not 26 days in the game but I don't think there will be any rain until the next patch.

Ahh, ok, I might be wrong.

I remember someone's topic about rain and thunders, but I guess my farm is on africa, and rain comes once in a year or something :D

Been playing felsbrunn since release day on PS4 and not a drop of rain. The more I play this there seams to be more niggles coming to the surface

I'd be curious to know what your environment.xml file looks like. This file should hold the weather forecast in XML format. Located in Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2019\savegame1\environment.xml (replace savegame1 with the slot you're using if different).

Here is my forecast, I haven't noticed if it has actually rained yet for me though.

Code: Select all

        <forecast>
            <instance typeName="SUN" variationIndex="3" duration="10"/>
            <instance typeName="CLOUDY" variationIndex="2" duration="14"/>
            <instance typeName="SUN" variationIndex="5" duration="9"/>
            <instance typeName="SUN" variationIndex="2" duration="7"/>
            <instance typeName="SUN" variationIndex="2" duration="12"/>
            <instance typeName="SUN" variationIndex="5" duration="9"/>
            <instance typeName="SUN" variationIndex="1" duration="9"/>
            <instance typeName="CLOUDY" variationIndex="1" duration="14"/>
            <instance typeName="CLOUDY" variationIndex="3" duration="15"/>
            <instance typeName="SUN" variationIndex="2" duration="10"/>
            <instance typeName="SUN" variationIndex="5" duration="12"/>
            <instance typeName="RAIN" variationIndex="1" duration="7"/>
            <instance typeName="SUN" variationIndex="5" duration="9"/>
            <instance typeName="SUN" variationIndex="4" duration="17"/>
            <instance typeName="SUN" variationIndex="3" duration="11"/>
            <instance typeName="SUN" variationIndex="4" duration="13"/>
            <instance typeName="CLOUDY" variationIndex="1" duration="14"/>
        </forecast>

            <instance typeName="CLOUDY" variationIndex="1" duration="14"/>
        </forecast>
typename and duration are easy to understand, but I don't get variationIndex.
Seems to have a range from 1 to 5.

New Farmer on Ravenport. I got Rain literally first day and than on Day 13 or 14(in game ofc). Storm effect are really nice, thunder and clouds feel realistic.

I’m on Ravenport in Farm manager, and I’ve had rain Twice now. I believe I’m on my 14th day. Still no weeds though.

Ravenport, New Farmer. I had rain on day 2. Still haven't seen a weed. Yes, they are turned on.
FS22 is the best one yet. Fight me!
