Must admit I've not looked at EL for New Farmer difficulty - is the silo system not a silo and extension? Or is it a completely different asset which we don't have access to?

This is how I set my Estancia Lapacho save up and it's worked out nicely, though don't forget to change the loanAnnualInterestRate in farms.xml ("200.000000" for Farm Manager).

I'm interested to know where people decided to set themselves up field wise on this map?

I've just been contracting for a couple of days to get used to the map, but am starting to get to the point of making a decision about where to buy a field. The centre of the map clearly provides the best value, as the plots of land are pretty much all field so you are getting less 'wasted' space, but there isn't really room to be setting yourself up with animal space, sheds etc.

I went for the middle of the map, got fields 1 and 2 straight away, then added 14, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in that order. Joined fields 1 & 2 together, joined 4, 5 & 6 into one field as well. When I then got fields 7 & 8 I joined them into one field. During this time I also adjusted some of the other fields to give me headlands room to turn equipment without driving over other fields.I then bought the area of land just in front of Field 3 and the Main Road and in that area I put my larger chicken coop and large sheep pen. I have now just bought the strip of land that runs between the top of field's 7, 6 and 5 and the Railline and I plan to cut down all the trees on there and use that area for Cows and Pigs.

I reported it as a bug already. it could cut them in FS17, there are a few more things so that is not the only mistake.

there are trees around the "main" original farm that can not be cut at all, they were the same way in 17

I had high hopes for rebuilding my farm on this map, but I'm waiting till the patch, and maybe some mods to fill in some stuff.

I look forward to the base mounted wood chipper they had. you could feed whole trees into that thing with just a tractor and front loader, no need to trim branches

Speaking of trees, another annoying thing is how Giants have used Palm Trees to simulate an extra bush type in areas by basically lowering them in the map so only the top tip portion is sticking out the ground. Your vehicles and implements still get stuck on them and if not careful can actually flip over your equipment. To remove them is a pain as you basically have to run round whilst crouched with the chainsaw, looking directly down at the floor and hope to find the trigger point to saw off the tip of the tree poking out the ground.

I have been cutting down the Palm Trees using the Tree Cutter Attachment for the Front Loader, the little yellow one with the little claw thing that comes in handy for pushing the chopped tree over or out of the cutter if it gets stuck in there. I then have the stump grinder on the back of the tractor to remove the stump. Cleared all the Palm trees off the land between your Farm and the Main Road and also between Field 29 and the Main Road. Took a while and would have been easier if you could use one of the big forestry machines, but I guess we have to make do with one of the small attachments on a tractor for now to fell trees.

You have to unload it at one of the silos next to the Train Track, and then load the Sugar Cane onto the Train and take up to the Transport Company to unload and sell it there.

I think what they were referring to was that the railroad silos don't hold sugar cane in 19 so that it can't go into the train. It might be fixed for some people.

I downloaded Estancia Lapacho. Bit disappointed with the grass texture's. They look like Goldcrest Valley from FS17. Once Terraforming comes out though this map will be excellent for editing and creating an excellent farm.

With the train. Bring it to one of the train silos, load it onto the train, then deliver it with the train to transport company
