Lime spreaders

Post by Jeff180 »

I started a new game after the update and now there are no lime spreaders in the store. There's no catagory for them anymore so I went to the manufacturers menu and there are no lime spreaders in the game at all. Has anyone else had this to happen?

no problem at all. it would be nice if there were a few more options for lime. I ended up adding lime to the small spreader myself.

Fertalizer is more like a grain, like sand. Lime varies alot, but i assume farmers aren't spreading the larger rocks around... I haul lime for a steel plant, the stuff is nasty... its almost like cement if it gets wet and eats everything up. My company will only use older trucks to haul it cause it tears them up.

That being said, I don't think the smaller spreaders would work well if at all, unless designed to spread it.

But I don't haul ag grade lime, not sure what it's consistancy is like. But it cain't be as good as fertalizer...

It’s about like sand with small bits of gravel size chunks

We handle pelletized lime where I work. Looks like brown urea. Heavy stuff and really chews up spreaders and other equipment.

I think lime works the same way as fertilizer sprayers and weed killer spray, you can either load fertilizer, or lime into the spreaders, but I haven't messed with lime yet.

You are correct. Just load up one or the other and then you can unload whatever is left when you're done.

Something I noticed about lime spreaders is that when you hire AI to do it, your money goes down like light speed, but your lime barely moves. But when you lime yourself I go through almost 1000L every second.

It's the same for seed and fertilizer. That's because the AI buys whatever it's using, and doesn't use anything in the spreader itself, unless you disable AI buying in the options menu. Which might be a good idea, because they buy at 1.5-2x the normal price :).
