Music Radio

Post by EJgaming »

After short time, you have listened through the music included in the game (.ogg). I would like to add my own music files (.mp3), or maybe stream my own local radio stations live.

Anyone else want this, and how do you solve it? Just using windows media player?

On the PC/Mac - where the game saves your games saves (eg on the Mac it's "/Users/(ACCOUNTNAME)/Library/Application Support/FarmingSimulator2019/" resides a folder called "music". On Windows (from memory) it's "C:\Users\(ACCOUNTNAME)\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2019\music"

Inside that folder is a file called "ReadmeMusic.txt", which explains how to add various music, including streaming.

Here is the contents of that ReadmeMusic.txt:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Customize In-Game Radio
=======================

Local mp3 files
---------------
- Create a windows shortcut to your mp3 music folder in the folder of this Readme file. Or place your .mp3 directly in this folder. (subfolders are also supported)

Internet Streaming Radio
------------------------
Edit the streamingInternetRadios.xml with a text editor and add your favourite radio stations.

<streamingInternetRadios>
<streamingInternetRadio href="http://www.my-favorite-radioXYZ.com/stream.m3u" />
<.../>
<.../>
</streamingInternetRadios>

URLs ending in .mp3 .m3u or .pls are supported for streaming radio stations:

http://www.my-favorite-radioXYZ.com/stream.m3u
http://www.my-favorite-radioXYZ.com/stream.pls
http://stream11.my-favorite-radioXYZ.com/radio.mp3
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And this is taken from my "internetStreamingRadios.xml" to help you as an example:
<streamingInternetRadios>
<!-- Energy FM -->
<streamingInternetRadio href="http://95.211.3.65:8502/listen.pls" />
<!-- 101FM Radio Logan Queensland -->
<streamingInternetRadio href="http://95.211.3.65:8930/listen.pls" />
<!-- Gippsland FM Victoria -->
<streamingInternetRadio href="https://right-click.com.au/rcPlayer2/p. ... ndfm&t=pls" />
<!-- Gippsland FM Victoria -->
<streamingInternetRadio href="https://right-click.com.au/rcPlayer2/p. ... ndfm&t=m3u" />
<!-- FM107.5 Orange Australia -->
<streamingInternetRadio href="https://www.internet-radio.com/servers/ ... d=1&t=.m3u" />
<!-- 2CUZFM Bourke -->
<streamingInternetRadio href="https://www.internet-radio.com/servers/ ... pls&t=.m3u" />
<!-- Overseas Radio -->
<streamingInternetRadio href="http://uk2.internet-radio.com:8358/listen.pls" />
<streamingInternetRadio href="http://uk6.internet-radio.com:8317/listen.pls" />
<streamingInternetRadio href="http://uk2.internet-radio.com:31491/listen.pls" />
<streamingInternetRadio href="http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbc ... adio1_mf_p" />
</streamingInternetRadios>

^^^TL:DR

Copy mp3 files (folders with MP3s work as well) to:

My Games/FarmingSimulator2019/music

Change the in-game radio channel to "My Radio"
Oh, I’m sorry, I thought this was America.

After some trying and failing, I've made it. Only one thing, is it possible to remove stations and music I don't want (like the standard pre-chosen radiostations and ingame music)? At the moment I have my own stuff, and also have to cycle through the pre-installed music with the game.

I use iTunes synced to my Turtlebeach Bluetooth headset. Listen to both music and in game sounds.
I’m on xBox One X.

Judging by your reply here, I have a funny feeling we might be in the same age bracket. :biggrin2:
