FS 17 Platinum Edition for PC Will Not Install

I received my DVD of FS 17 Platinum Edition an hour ago.

I was shocked to discover the game will not install on my Windows 10 PC.

I am getting this error:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Farming Simulator 17\dataS2.gar

An error occurred while trying to copy a file:
The source file is corrupted.

If I click retry, the same thing happens. If I click Ignore, I see that other source files
are alleged to be corrupted.

I did not anticipate any issues of installation with a new game. To say I am disappointed
with FS 17 is an understatement.

if it was a DVD from a Dealer, you can try to Change the DVD.
If you could try to start the install with Right klick on setup.exe and use Install as Administrator...

I attempted to install as Administrator, but the same error messages appear.

So is this really a stand-alone game or does it require FS 17?

Have you a link to what you bought? I'm not sure if the platinum edition was sold as an update and also the full game and dlc?

The DVD cover states this is a Full Game.

Did you ever get this sorted? Having the same issue now with FS17 platinum edition.... its giving me the message “an error has occurred while trying to copy a file. Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

Is it because I’m running DirectX12?? Do I need DirectX11 instead??
