Seasons

Post by psfd237 »

I hear so much about seasons and how it changed everything about the game, playing on console since FS13 on ps3 and the only games I have for ps4 is FS17 and 19. I never did seasons on 17 so I don't know the first thing about it. What are some of the things that you like about it? Is every so many days a new season? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thought about going back to 17 and downloading it to try but I just can't stop playing 19.

For me, the fact that you can't sow anything at any moment, is enough to make it appealing to me.
But also, that you can't work your fields on winter or you can't harvest during and after rain until the sun makes the fields dry.

Sorry for any grammar error. Not my first language.

I highly recommend downloading it for 17 and play around with it. You won't be disappointed

Will I have to start a new save or can I continue with one of my existing saves?

Check out https://www.realismusmodding.com/mods/seasons/

If you use an existing save you will lose any planted crops.

Thank you so much! That answers my questions. Now I regret not playing it on 17. :(

Aside of the fun (and pain) of snow and the overall realism it brings, it's the little things.
Having to plan ahead instead of just planting randomly.

Eg, if you have animals, expect that you can't harvest feed (including grass) during the winter, so you need to stock up hard in the summer and store it in a way that won't go bad (eg, leaving a pile of grass in the open wouldn't last more then a few days).

Thanks everyone for the info, I never searched or looked up anything about fs until I recently stumbled across this forum. From what I've read and watched now, seasons seems like it will really fit my play style and I anxiously look forward to trying it.
