Console: Road Trains

Post by Nserti »

Hey guys,

Just curious as to what all us console players are using for road trains for heavy(large quantity) hauls of crop.

The joskin mod doesnt work for me, and neither does the ITR.. both for the same reasons. When tipping they get caught up on each other and get all buggered.

So what are you guys doing to move alot of crop at once?

Cheers.

A semi truck works pretty well, hauls up to 60,000 L with the biggest trailer.

Yeah 60 000 seams to be limit for now on console! need to be able to attach trailers together like in fs 17 now we have bigger lorries for pulling. Hoping for bsm to rerelease the 70000 litre tipping trailer as it has the ability to attach another trailer via dolly *thumbsup*
Love FS fav tractor Case I h. FS 19 has caught up and is now for me better than fs17

How about the MAN ITR with 45000 grainbin and dolly with 60 000liter trailer. Havent tested myself, but should work?

If I’m not mistaken I have tried that set up and it limits your turning and the truck seems to not have enough power just my opinion I think 60000 is the max to do with ease

Tested the trailer setup yesterday, definetly works, but it may be a bit heavy.

Might be better with the 48k fliegl trailer on a dolly. Not as much capacity but less weight and potentially better turning I imagine. You would be over 90k capacity at least.

You can certainly get a 30,000 litre Joskin trailer with a rear hitch so the new 640 HP MAN could take a 45,000l ITRunner container with a rear hitch and probably a couple of those Joskins.

I've tried out a few different combinations I find that you can put the 48000 litre bin on back of the new M.A.N 640hp but when you try to pull anything behind it's a bit twitchy and lifts the back wheels of the truck off the ground! Not tried a different bin on back of truck though I will persist to find a system that works

I was trying this morning and found the shorter lift containers have a problem unloading the shorter container would eliminate the twitchy stuff but then you can’t unload the 30 000l one I’m not sure why

Maybe in the future a wilson pup trailer might come out to go behind current semi trailers, they would just need trailer hitches though

I hope blacksheep modding will convert the 70000l one that’s in fs17 it has the rear hitch so a dolly and another one of those and your hauling 140000l

What would be really nice is if someone would mod the Wilson Pacesetters to have a rear hitch and then mod a Wilson pup trailer with 30,000-40,000 L or so.

Ya we really do need something like that. I was kinda disappointed when I first saw that we weren’t getting a b setup. Seeing as that’s about 50% of what I see around my area.
