Mod to sort out awful driving physics and sounds?

Post by Coldlandlord »

Are there any mods out there that improve on the physics and sounds yet? I have just started playing fs19 now that there are some decent mods out but I'm still really struggling to like the game due to the way in which the vehicles move and sound. The sounds are a joke. why is my tractor at idle, yet travelling with a loaded trailer at over 30kph? It sounds like a commuter train where they build the revs, wait for the desired speed to be achieved and then drop the throttle off to idle.

The physics are also shocking. I have vehicle extention with a wheel and pedal setup but movements are very jerky. the tractors move in 1 foot incriments which means when backing up to something, you either end up miles away or plow straight into something.

There is also no engine brake effect what so ever.

Why has this happened?

This is as good as it gets. They are not a AAA company. They don't appear to aspire to become one. That is also the excuse you'll hear from everyone as to why the game remains the same from version to version.
If you want more realism you'll have to look to other games. There's one in early access on steam that has better physics, sounds and ground deformation.

I highly doubt anyone is going to make a mod that drastically changes the physics. Plus I actually found the physics in this entry is really good compared to others, maybe your wheel isn't quite setup right.

Fs17 had mods released eventually (on PC) that gave you a realistic gearbox with many adjustable options to give a realistic sound and driving experience, clutch, hand throttle independent wheel braking.
Better steering mods
Ground response mods
Engine brake mods
You know all that good stuff that we wanted giants to do but they couldn't or wouldn't or whatever..
So just sit tight and wait for the modders to do their thing and make it possible to farm how we want, and if you don't like waiting then you can always learn to make mods to get the experience you are after. Not starting a fight just my opinion. However I certainly do agree the vehicle physics and sounds etc are far from perfect but it is what it is.
Happy farming to all :D

Also the jerking when trying to back up to stuff might be caused by the stop n go braking setting. I find if you have it set to ON, the machinery is harder to back up to implements gently. If set it to OFF it seems a lot smoother ( I reckon it does anyway)

How about a fix to stop bales/pallets feeling like they are on very smooth ice sometimes and feeling like they are anchored into the ground other times?
