Can I suggest someone mod a seed cleaner

Post by moyzie »

One thing I have noticed is that there is no way of using your grain other than selling it. as much as I think the "as close to real life as" (acrla) is a great idea in the game. I think it needs a seed cleaner option.

I worked on many farms over alot of years and all general farmers here in Australia use their grain as next seasons seed. They employ a contractor or have their own machine, to clean and inoculate the seed and then sow.

So I would like to see ACRLA where we can buy a seed cleaner from the shop and clean our own seed. I can't find many Australian videos for the cleaners most are american but they are all the same world wide.
so:
- fines can be used in stock feed or sold as straw.
- Oversize/cracked can be sold or used as stockfeed grain.
- and Seed comes out inoculated/seed colour and able to be sown.

suggestions for machines.

here is a simple machine

here is a truck/trailer mounted machine

here is a factory or possible placeable machine

I have noticed that, here in Australia if you are using patent seed yes it has to be bought but not many farms do that here in Australia. Far to costly for our farmers, and our grain selling structure is a lot different from the US also.

@Drmattymd Here is a interesting thing I just found that farmers in Australia are exempt from the PBR preventing farmers from storing seed on farm. farmers are exempt here.

That would be part of the factory script which I don’t believe is available for FS19 yet.

For FS19 it`s called "Global Company Script" and will take part in the mod-contest. So approx one month until we will get it.

I would love to see sony and microsofts reasoning behind no outside scripts for things like this and a few others. It doesn't break the game and as long as there isn't conflicts with base game performance it sould be at least considered possible for consoles.

Hof Bergmann has the SeedMaster that allows you to create new seed based on your harvested wheat. You have to buy the Rubin TT seed dressing at the shop and mix it in to get your seed. Not certain if it's the same thing. Cool map though.
