Will the weed still grow if the fruit itself is to high? so is it possible that when you only want to use the weeder you cant remove all weed because the fruit is to high?

There is also solution to use Courseplay mod, to use weeder, then it will do the whole field, even there are only few patches of weed.

They won't like it. They stop once a weed patch finished.

That's actually the reason the game has full field weeds.
So the whole weed system unless it is a full field has to be done manually. That’s only if you can get a full field of weeds
Yes, you will need to do it manually. But its only some spots so it might not be too bad.
That means there will be spots where is no weeds at all after a full growing period? So it can be "cheaper" to let the weeds grow and accept the lower yield and don't pay for herbicide? :confusednew:

If you can absorb the 20% and don't want to run a weeder over your field in time.

EDIT: broke the quotes.
Yes, weeds still grow when crops are larger.

So will workers complete whole field if spraying herbicide for preemptive weed control??

Indeed they are.

Herbicide will cost, but work is more easy and you don't need to worry about weeds anymore.
Weeder is free to use, will work manually, needs more work and keeping eye on weeds.

I run the Amazone weeder/cultivator mod as much as possible for weed control (as it allows weeding with implement fully raised so can weed at whatever speed tractor can do) but big fields I like to spray after seeding as I can hire a worker and get on with other jobs. From what I figure it will still be practical to continue doing things the way I do once I'm using seasons

This would be different from vanilla game. You can run herbicide for preemptive control but the helper will not do that Job.

Not required. If you are going to start on an existing savegame though, make sure you have harvested all your fields so when the mod loads in you can allow the mod to reset all the fields to the harvested stage so the first year can start off properly. It's not required to do the field reset but I personally think it works better if you do.

Thanks for all your hard working Devs!

The weeding thing sounds cool - but I'm wondering why the mechanical weeder won't(??) also work preemptively? I like to be an organic virtual farmer, don't like using virtual chemicals...
Why should it? Running a harrow over my field pulls out weeds. It does not prevent future ones sprouting.
Spraying chemicals doesn't stop birds dropping or wind blowing in fresh seeds afterwards either...

No, but spraying does have a preemptive effect depending on the herbicide used and the amount of seeds already in the soil is far greater than what could potentially be stopped by birds or by wind from neighbouring fields.

In reality a farmer would spray more than once, but we decided to not make the game into sprayer simulator 19.

Really? I have never tried that. So herbicide sparying helper will not work if there are no weeds on the field? Will it change with seasons?
Otherwise we really get Spraying Simulator 19 :D

I assume there will be enouhg patches right before harvesting season to get the helper the Job done. If not I can live with that 20% (on that particular spot) less.
