The 1135 and 1155 would be sweet, oh and the old 1100 with cab optional.

Love this selection.
The 4800 could have the Perkins v8 option while the 4900 could have the Cummins v8 option... My neighbor down the road when I was young had a I think was a 49??. I'm not really sure, but I know it had the Cummins and it always sounded like it had a rod knocking. But was apparently how they sounded. And when he'd been in the field with it. You swear he was cultivating with a freight train from the trail of smoke it would leave behind. The guy mostly had IH equipment, but had that one Massey.

The v8 Cummins your referring to is most likely the 555 Cummins which did have connecting rod issues so it may have had a rod knocking so you could say good bye engine.

He ran it for a lot of years like that. Until I came home from the service about 6 years ago and seen it sitting along fence line with weeds grown up around it. That same farmer was a collector of rare IH tractors. Which he had also ran big IH 7588, but IH only made two of them and he had one that he didn't use that much... Probably why he used the Massey so much. He had a big equipment auction a few years back and that old IH brought over a $157k. The Massey is still sitting in the fence line.

Sure is!!! I've Stanley and his wife for a lot of years. There was a lot more equipment sold at that retirement auction. He still farms a little, but due to health reasons he can't farm as hard as he use to. He had quite a variety of brands of equipment, but IH is the majority. I didn't know it was still on line. He had a couple 2x2's he ran a lot. I was shocked it went for that much as it looked like it had been used quite a bit. When I was young though he didn't use it that much.
