Plays on pc, hardmode and loves grinding

That is correct Seasons will default to add-on GEO mod if it is activated on the save game. Although be wise about when you activate this GEO as it can affect multiple things. Oh and only ever use one GEO at a time.
GEOS can change the general weather conditions, temp, sun rise/set timings, % chance of rain/snow in various parts of the year, temps can be drastically different from one GEO to another for the same season and plant/harvest cycles can change.
I do not know what Realismus officially suggests when dropping in a GEO on an existing save but from personal experience it would suggest waiting till winter.

I just downloaded the Seasons update and got rid of the snow. I play on Ravenport. About 30 seconds after the snow disappeared (the snow mode setting was still off), really deep snow appeared. It was high enough that I could drive onto the roof of the house. Is anyone else having the same problem? Thanks

I had a similar incident happen just the snow wasn't that deep. I had cleared all my farm yard, Mechanics shop and curved steel building ( cause it snowed in the buildings) and around a storage shed and the snow came back as soon as I bought a new snow removal truck and was twice as deep.
