Great Plains YP-4025A Planter Question

Anyone using the newly modded Great Plains YP-4025A planter? I’m just starting my first planting with it and I noticed a rear hitch. I attached the HS 8 Sprayers Support cart to act as a nurse cart to fill the liquid fert. Unfortunately, I haven’t planted but a couple passes so I’m not sure if it will feed the seeder (fert tank) when it’s empty. Does anyone know if it will work?

I finally put the beer down and got back on the tractor...

To follow-up on my own question... it works! You can attach a trailer to the seeder and it WILL feed the plater (liquid fert) when the planter’s tank empties. As a side note: I didn’t actually study the rate, but it appears as though the fert is used at a higher rate than the seed (as in real life).

Another great mod for an already great game.

Thanks Hoss1, after seeing your OP I was super curious myself but haven't been able to play and can't for another day, #crankyface.
I usually run the base game Great Plains planter, might have to switch things up a little when I get back to my VR farms

I too have been running the base game Great Plains planter, but when I saw this mod was possibly coming to consoles, I had to have a go at it. Obviously I like it and think the modder did a nice job of it. It’s now my go-to planter.

That's awesome that you can do that with this planter. Guy who farms alot of the land down my road does the same thing when he is planting corn or milo with his kinze planter.

Yeah and you can hook up the th1 400 as well hs8 and get large amount of seed and fertilizer all in one go

Took my quiet a while to find it too, it's in the sprayer category
Would have been nice if you could attach the fertilizer card from custom modding their planter aswell, it technically works but doesn't look good.

I only found a graphic error a small detail only maybe you do not care but it is good to report,
to see if I explain myself in the part of the planter below where the seed is inserted has some chains hanging good because it does not have them hanging are above ,
you can see it if it is placed behind the planter and lowers the camera to ground level to appreciate the design error I don't only report that but it is good and beautiful

Those chains are supposed to be there. They are used to level the ridge made by the cutting wheels that open the ground for the seed to drop into. Chains or something similar are used to level the ridges out so the harvesters don't gouge the ground during harvest.
