New Woodshire update problems

Post by Coola_Daffy »

Hi.
I have Xbox1 and installed the update for New Woodshire (came Sept 10).
I lost my created grass field closest to F1 and F2.
All trees I once removed are back and landscaping I performed is gone.
Also I LOST the grain silo and everything in it.
Very sad as I really liked New Woodshire. A very nice map and fun to use.

Yes, let this PSA for everyone. Most maps with seasons updates normally requires a new game save. Marwell and Oakfield will be the same on Console.

Yeah I'm not thrilled that the original silo was replaced with a useless map object. Along with some of the other changes I rather regret updating so quickly before seeing what actually changed. Lesson learned.

Does anyone know on PC is it possible to Keep the Same game save when Updating a Map? It was on 17 but not sure if it can be done on 19.

What is it about the seasons update that is breaking the old save games? Or is the other updates/changes to the maps done at the same time causing the problems. For fs17 I remember just making sure all my fields were harvested and then adding seasons.
These issues kind of makes me want to stop playing until seasons is out for console

Some maps in fs17 also required new saves after updates, and we didn’t even have seasons at that time. I think it would be better to ask a mapper why a new save is needed. I’m kinda curious too...

I was hoping the landscaping issues for consoles was fixed, cant put out a buulding on the fields, only on the setted farms for the map

The change log does not say we needed a new save.

Yes it's possible, just copy the contents of the save game to the new one, be mindful though that if there is much change to the landscape etc, vehicles me be stuck inside a shed or anything really and will have to be reset.

Many thanks Guil, thought it would be just didn't know how as the old way we did it in 17 didn't work.

Thanks for your input. My Eng is limited so bare with me.
Too bad all my grains is lost. Was a bit XXXx-ed when the trees re-appered but I guess I have to do it all over again :) More monney for poor me.
Still a nice map and as one of you pointed out, lots of improvments with this update.
The best to you all mappers and moders. //CD

I couldn't find a silo on the main farm so I placed one on the lawn behind pigs. It is showing crops??? Where is the main silo at?? I know there was one where the decorative object was when I did a first look back when map came out. The game save is on a new download of the latest version on PS4.
Drove all around the yard with a tipper of product looking for tip option to appear. No luck. Happy with what I have but I am curious.
Thank you in advance!
