Tutorial: Creating hoses that bend and deform

Post by asyvan »

It's time for another tutorial. I have gotten some questions lately on how to create hoses and wires and how to make them bend and deform when the attached objects move or rotate. Like the hoses between a seeder tank and the foldable drill units.

Hey, fantastic tutorial. How many joints are possible within FS19 in this sort of situation. I take it for this sort of thing in your tutorial it would be okay but say you did all the effort for a dribble bar it would be too intensive and inefficient? Just currently unaware of the limits :)

Hi, good question.

You only need two joints for each moving part. So if you consider the left arm as one moving object, it needs one joint. The fixed part where the hoses attach need the other joint. All the hoses that go from the fixed part to the moving object can and should be combined to one object. So it can be 30 hoses or whatever in one object, but still only 2 joints.
