Mod folder switcher mod

I'm curious if anyone used these programs? Do they work? Will they mess with the game?

And if used them what do you recommend?

I use the FS19 Mod Folder Manager V1.2



Very easy to use, doesn't mess with the game at all. In fact it's much better for the game, as you don't need to keep mods in your My Documents Folder, and ever single map can be put into it's own folder to avoid conflicts.

Cool I'll try it...my mods collection is getting huge and was looking for something I could organize so I dont have to load all those mods each time.

Looks a good program. Guessing it just directs the game to a folder made with the mod map in it and just the mods you use on that savegame? Rather than having all those individual mods folders named and within the FS19 main folder?
At present i just add a map to my main mods folder and keep all the other mods,(just remove othe maps not in use) but understand it still loads all other mods even though not selected once you choose a career save.
My pc runs quick enough with 100+ mods but think it will run better if it just loads a custom mod folder using just the map and mods required for that gamesave.

I did look into this more and it seems like an amazing tool. The free version allow you to organize each mod map with its own folder. But there are so much more you can do with the full version.

You can put in up to 40 maps got it of the authors web page better than 20 if you like a lot of maps

But the full version requires you to pay $20 to the guy and quite frankly no one should have to pay for mods. That's why I recommend the free version of the mod manager tool. The stuff the Dashboard does, can really be done by any player who is familiar enough with 7zip, Notepad++ and know's their way around XML files and stuff. The Dashboard is not recommended, why pay a guy $20 for something you can do yourself for free.

You can have as many mod folders as you like with the free version of the software. I have 54 different mod folders on my PC currently. The software only shows my 20 most current ones, but it's easy to remove a folder from the software and enable another folder in it's place when I need to.

The unlock code is for "other" features, it will still work as a mod manager after the 10 days. That said I keep meaning to pay the $20 to help support the mod author, worth every penny in my view.

The free version is on the page Mod Folder Manger: https://farmwrangler.com/modfoldermanager.html, it works with both FS17 and FS19, which is why some people probably miss it, as they think it's only for FS17.

You certainly don't need to pay any money for the dashboard program. Nothing in that is worth $20.

For me it's not so much about if a mod is "worth" the money, if I use a mod for an extended period of time I am happy to "contribute" to the author for their time. That said for me $20 is peanuts but appreciate for some people it's an affordability issue.
