Can't install additional content on Steam

I bought this game on Steam and today I went to the steam menu and I saw the Platinum Expansion appears as "not installed", even with the checkbox turned on:



But even turning it off and on, nothing happens.

How to install it?

It wont install until the22.. when it comes out

Also, I perceived that when I bought FS19, it seems it was on the 1.4.1.0 version and now it's on the 1.5.1.0 version.
But I don't remember to get any warning about the upgrade.
Are these upgrades made in the background, without the user knowledge?

Steam will automatically install updates unless you tell it not to by a per game basis. You can check if an update has been downloaded by clicking on the download manager text at the bottom of steam. Though this will only show downloads for the current session.
