Unfortunately, Steam has to manually unlock the DLC, which they can only do during their PST working hours. So it will be unlocked on 9 AM PST (6 PM CEST).

On PS4, the DLCs are part of the game installation (even if you don't own the DLC). They are only unlocked by the 1.2 MB download when the DLC is released/bought.

But you can unlock this on steam 21 october on 15am PST (0.01 CEST 22 october). It's working hours...

so pre order on steam have to wait until 5pm today, that is not a pre order, so if I cancel that I can buy from giants and play, can understand different times and dates for different platforms but for 2 different digital downloads on same platform, should be 2 different prices ,thought the idea of pre order was to get it at 12.01, or what is the point

As much as I don’t know how steam have to do things their end I do have to say that I think they are playing silly buggers. When the cotton dlc came out I got that at 23:00 as it was active at 00:00 German time. But with the the expansion there is a 17 hour difference. I know there is nothing you can personally do as it’s beyond giants control what steam do and when but there is definitely no consistency with what steam are doing. I would make one suggestion on future to maybe find out the times and add those to the release info as if I had know I was going to have to wait 17 hours I would have bought it from the giants store and not steam.

Stegeis excuse doesn't make any sense.. I was fine with waiting until I read that.. ive preordered every dlc up to this point including preordering the game and ive gotten everything early.. now all of a sudden "steam has to manually unlock the DLC, which they can only do during their PST working hours".. im fine with waiting.. but I don't appreciate having smoke blown up my hind parts by anyone.. Completely agree with what you have said here. This is why I put about the no consistency. I’m the same as you. Always had everything including the base game at 23:00. I’m completely dumbfounded by it if truth be told. It’s put my mood right down now as well. Class is my favourite company and to say I was excited when the news came that we was getting class is an understatement. Now I just feel like stuff because everywhere I look I can see people playing it except me/us. It’s simply not good enough yeah I don’t mind waiting a couple of hours I could have handled that but 17 hours is just ridiculous. We have all paid for a pre order as well. So we have paid for a pre order that’s now a post release.

I don't like the delay either, but this is what Steam told us. Apparently it is different for the Platinum Edition than for the other DLCs because of the pre-order bonuses and the bundling with the base game.

ok i have no argument against that explanation as i didn't preorder platinum for fs17 on steam.. i wasn't trying to stir up a hornets nest and certainly not trying to cause offence.. i wouldn't say im a "loyal customer" as i believe brand loyalty is how people short change themselves on potentially better products.. i am however a consistent customer and will remain so as long as u guys continue to produce quality content.. thank u for a further explanation Stegei.. im excited to try it (omg that lil ARION 460-410 <3 )
