Wilted weeds remain through harvest when sprayed with herbicides

Wilted weeds should not remain into the harvest stage, if sprayed before the 2nd growth stage. As of now, they still remain visible until the crop is harvested. This is the reason why herbicides are designed to wilt/wither the plant as it dies... to not only reduce visibility (in aesthetic applications, such as landscaping and turf care), but also decrease the period of biodegradation and return available nutrients to the soil.
