I like the map only thing I don't like so far is the cars parked on the street in the town, I dunno why just feels out of place having them parked on the road

Not sure if it’s just me or there’s only a few set to offer contracts, without checking it’s like fields 12/17/113? The big square, possibly 4 and one more I can’t remember down the road behind a house? Anyone else had any others?
Yeah that bothered me too. Makes all those unused fields redundant IMO.

Anyone else noticed the working radio in the workshop in the arable farm? I was putting wheel weights on the puma and giving it a wash when I clicked the action button by the radio and music started playing, then a met office forecast for Easter weekend, it felt like I was in our real workshop 😂

Even though it’s a fictional place, it’s very much in theme with where our family farm is IRL (rural Cheshire) trust me, parked cars in a tight narrow road are a routine annoyance for us, I think it’s spot on tbh.

Really love the look and feel of the map, it really does look like some of the villages and farming area in my part of the UK. However there are a couple of things I don't like about the map. The first as pointed out on the first page of comments, is that none of the fields have been properly defined in the map file. Meaning if you try using console commands, or the Easy Development Mod to make changes to the fields on the map it doesn't work properly and only tiny square patches of the fields change. The author really needs to fix this in an update. Also might just be me that finds this irritating but I'm not a fan of all the junk and clutter items at the sell points on the map which make it a nightmare to get into them to unload and then back out of them with your tractor and trailers. I'm not using big trailers either in the game, on our server I think we have Agroliner TAW30 Trailer which isn't large (only 45,000 capacity) but it's a nightmare getting that in and out of sell points like Whitney Grain and Greenwich Mill etc. Had I known this before starting my Dedicated Server, I think I would have opened the Map up in Giants Editor and removed a lot of the decoration stuff that's in the way at the sellpoints before I uploaded the map and started the save file.

For me this probably the best map on mod hub , I be pointed out before my annoyance of permanent fixtures in the set play farms along with the piles of rubbish , my new gripe is I can't make gateways into fields , I've created my own farm but have to travel around half the map for certain fields because theyre inaccessible from the rest of my farm , this is where mercury farms is so enjoyable it's all cha changeable to how you want to play but unlike Greenwich very 'animated'. So a gateway Into each field from each field would be great in any future updates please. Other than that the map is nearly spot on in every way

Matter of fact I've got four save games on the go at any one time & farm each map depending on my mood or free time availability
Swapped the tractor seat for a truck, 30 years later & still regretting it !

Last regular drive > FENDT 930 / 939 & Claas Xerion 3800
Play time > Ford TW20
Bottomless money pit > David Brown 880
Should never of sold the MF168 !

Got to agree with the field entrance issue, although as there are no hedge collisions, you can drive straight through them! Ironically though, I'd prefer that there were collisions, but then to have the option to remove bits of hedge to either leave as open entrances or to put gates into yourself. I guess you can't please everyone all the time!

That was something I noticed; most, if not all, of the fields only have one gateway. And in the grain farm workshop there were THREE air compressors!

I'm loving the map but I tend to play with the map open in GE -- I take the gates off the arable fields, make gateways between fields (just a pity the foliage edits can't show but a bit of landscaping helps) make a new lane between the grain and the sheep, and when I plough, I run close up to the hedge line, especially in the gateways where Greenbale left some big unused areas. I'm cheating a bit using a chisel plough instead of a proper mouldboard plough, or even a subsoiler when I'm going quickly. It's also my first time running John Deere, an 8R for heavy work with that clattery engine sound :)

Just to be clear: I'm NOT saying that Greenbale "should" have done this, or not done that ... it is his/her/their map to make as they want to.

The only problem is, for you folks that edit maps in GE, that once you install a new map update, all your changes will be back to default, so you will have to repeat all that work, which is very annoying and can take lots of time.
I wish we could keep our edited map even when we update to new version or at least choose : keep edited or revert to default map.
I had same problem with Oakfield main farm, i have basically deleted whole main yard and made the yard how i want, i installed new update for Oakfield and yard was back to normal...i was so pi** off.

I keep progress Zips of the edits that I do, so that when a new update comes out I can diff the two and see what fixes I might want to carry over.

Smart :D
so u basically compare each file and when u notice the difference in file size, then u compare whats different inside those files and copy-paste those changes into your edited map ?

Sort of ... I unzip the new version and run a diff tool(*) over the files, checking against the original version not my hacked-about version. You can't rely on file sizes because value changes won't necessarily change the size.
