Just started up the Spring wheat Harvest on the first day of summer. Unfortunately, the Spring was extremely wet, and I haven't managed to get a single bale of dry hay in. Every tractor is busy at the moment. The stars of the show are the Deere 4440 and the 1995 John Deere 8100. The Fiat and 7200 are going to fill in so that I don't have to drop and hook implements constantly. Hoping the weather holds up so that I can get some hay. Plan to buy 20-30 head of good dairy heifers in the fall.

Finished logging my forest I had planted as saplings. My log loader can't see up over the load but the local equipment dealer had limited options. Planted more saplings but with seasons enabled it looks to be good amount of time before I'll be logging them.
Took the wool to be sold in the spring in two trips.
I really like the look of this short Warrior++ with the Nokian tires in the Claas color scheme.

Here at Gemeinde Rade we currently just bought a farm in the middle of town. We have place for diary which we will start next year. This year we are starting up business with currently running three tractors: an old 1255 which i could buy for easy money, my restored and tweaked 1455 "beast" and an new deutz which was best choice for leasing. I have 3 owned fields, one next to the farm en 2 a 10 km away near the river. After preparing those fields for oats, i will do mainly contract work this year to earn money so i can expand next year with cows and bigger / better equipement. This means long working days with a few ours of sleep....

We had a little snow the first few days but currently it is getting warmer so seeds can almost go into the ground!

I hope to buy a (second hand) Puma on short term, because my 1455 normaly only occasionally is doing jobs and is just being pretty and pulling at tractorpulling events, but is now full time plouging the big acres which means its condition will be not show worthy at the end lf this year, not to speak about the state of the engine. Also , no worker will be driving it but myself because i know how to treat here gentle. I must admit that driving this old beast always puts a smile on my face and that case inter whistle is iconic.

Different storyline, different map.

Bought a nice old little farm in the German town of Felsbrunn.

It came with two tractors and a combine.
  • 1992 Case International 1455 XL
  • 1996 Case 1455 XL
  • CLAAS Dominator 108 SL MAXI
Together with two small fields.

Just started my first harvest and preparing the fields afterwards for the next year

End of mid summer ... total disaster. I'm starting to do cultivation contracts because all winter crops are *thumbsdown* . The reason is drought
I hope that my spring rape (#20) and cotton (#23) will survive ...

Well long story short, I’ve found out that my cousin who lived in Starowies, went bankrupt. He could’nt live with himself, and testamentet his mess to me.

I’ had to sell away everything, trying to pay off his loans, and used all my savings to keep the farm going. It’s the family-farm after all... So I’ve buildt a new sheep-pasture and a litle pig-stye, and a storrage-barn with a silo. The Deutz 4.40 served me well, but had to sell it, beccause I had to avoid my cousins faith. Now I’m relying on my Case to do the buisness, planted a field with potatoes and done some seed-drilling. Clinging on to the next harvest, hoping to break even.. In for the long haul 😰

Just coming into summer now and beginning silage season on greenwich. J have myself set up on both the grain farm (home base) and the cow farm. Silage first with the NH forage with the disk cutter. Deutz series 9 drawing grass and JD in the silo. Hopefully get 2 cuts done in my 7 fields this summer, first cut silage, second cut hay. Then it'll be on to the arable stuff with 2 fields of wheat and a field of potatoes, very experimental with the arable stuff at this stage. Hoping to begin with sheep and chickens later in the summer and have that to keep me going over autumn and winter before ground works in spring again.

It's fall again in Dreisternhoff. My 23 cows are doing well. Recently sold the one male I had. Slowly but steady growing the number of Holsteiners.

I just harvested one field of corn to be turned into silage. Earlier I harvested the wheat with my new CR 9.90 (replacement for the TX-32). Its a bit overkill for my size of farm but I got a good deal and with future expansions I can use a bigger harvester.
Within the next few days I expect to cut my other field of corn but this one will be sold.

the 2 other fields have already been sown with Canola and Vermehrungsgrass (part of Dreisternhof map). The other field will stay fallow for the season.

Expecting to expand the farm with a cow pasture for Meat cows (one of the Mods released yesterday). Also looking to replace one of my Fendt Favorit 515 with a newer tractor to compliment my Claas Axion 870. And I want a bigger TMR-mixer. Currently using a ROSTSELMASH KT-10. Not sure which one. Maybe a self-driving one this time.

Oh and before I forget, I also need a new header for the New Holland. Sold the 6.1m one I had.

The farm on Marwell is doing well, we are finishing up Cotton. Yes Cotton...in the UK. Although, this might be the last time as the demand for cotton, wasn’t what we thought it was. We have a newly purchased field to turn over and prepare for next year. And then get started on some wheat and a third cut of hay.

However, I just got back from Poland. I work as a consultant from time to time on a farm in Osina-Wielka. They are big into contract work there, and are trying their hand at a small dairy operation. It’s a tough game to start dairy from scratch.

Just finishing up the first year here in France. Have started a small dairy operation with 10 heifers...should start producing milk here in the next couple months. I have enjoyed doing contracts for the locals here and they are right about the wine here in France, it is better!
I have some wheat, canola, and oats going in three of my five fields. Just waiting until the temperature is right to get the other two fields planted with some canola and I should get a decent harvest. Maybe to expand my dairy plans....

Mid Summer on my first year at Lone Oak. Waiting for my crops to harvest so I figured I would get field 33 ready for a big BGA run next year, and extended it to field 34. Cleared the trees in the spring and spent a good part of early summer smoothing out the ground, but we are good to go with grass seed in the ground

Image

Field 41 was then ready for my second cut of the year. Early test for what the BGA will pay out for grass. I just hope the rain holds off...
