Re: New to Farming
Thanks guys, I actually ended up finding a silo that dispensed lime hiding on the map not too far from my fields. The map is astonishing, the level of detail and complexity just blows my mind, especially after a small and simple map such as Lone Oak. There's so many little details that aren't apparent just from a casual overview of the map, and even with the map zoomed all the way in a lot of the sales points icons kind of hide out beneath/on top of each-other. There's just a lot going on.
Question about Seasons: when playing with Seasons on, does crop rotation necessitate plowing between each harvest? Plowing as opposed to cultivating, I mean.

Since we are on the topic of Hazzard County, does anyone know what the ingredients are to make flour? That is definitely a honeypot on that map. I just started it up today and am loving it

Question about root crops of which I have no experience: if I have a Roper Harvester and the appropriate header, do I still need to take the tops of the plants (sugar beets), or does that cover me as far as equipment goes?

Re: New to Farming
What's the recommended vanilla windrower? I notice that in the shop in that category the Kuhn Merge Max is the most expensive in the entire roster at 110k while the Lely Hibiscus 5050 is nearly 50% less in price while also sporting a much broader reach (14.8 vs the Kuhn's 9.1). I know nothing about grass and logic tells me the Kuhn must offer some better service that I'm not seeing to justify the price difference.
Re: New to Farming
That Kuhn windrower can drop swaths in 3 different ways. That's the main special part of that windrower.
I think the other 9m windrower from Kuhn is the best choice when starting. The smallest windrower is just a pain =P

Thanks Alagos.
New question: on average, how many liters of TMR does a cow consume per day?

Re: New to Farming
I'm not sure myself, however I do know that they consume a fair amount each day, so it is best to feed them TMR as a priority because I am fairly sure that it will go into the other categories once it fills up
Also, I will be starting FS19 soon. Any good mods I should have to start out. I will probably start out on a map like Pacific Northwest or Lone Oak, and I have played FS17, so I understand the game for the most part, just haven't played on PC before

For PC, Follow Me and Courseplay, all depends on how realistic you want to go. I use Added Realism for Vehicles and Manual Attach. Some type of multi fruit storage as well.

It means you get out of the cab and press a button that will detach it out of cab
