It might be able to play, however as the RX Vega 11 is an integrated graphics card for AMD processors, it’s not going to play very well though it does at least meet the minimum graphics requirements.Illinois Farmer wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2020 3:25 am AMD Ryzen 5 3400G

Would this be able to run a 4x times map?

Thanks that's what I was curious about.

Re: Small Guide on PC's
@Boost_GLR I didn't notice any difference going from 8GB to 24GB of ram on my desktop. I think it's unlikely that it will do much, though it might help a little bit. Though, I would still recommend upgrading to 8GB of ram, regardless.
Re: Small Guide on PC's
None of that seems right.
Ryzen 3400g
Vega 11 integrated graphics
8gb ddr4 memory (what speed?)
2TB 7200rpm (hard disc) drive
There we go. Interested in knowing how you experience is with the Ryzen gpu.
giants recommends 4gb minimum so a jump to 8 will be an improvement in all aspects.

That's what the digital storm website said for their cheapest desktop. I didn't buy it.

Re: Small Guide on PC's
Would this be a good computer spec for gaming, AMD ryzen 7 3700x, 16GB ddr4 ram 3200mhz, 500 gb nvme ssd, 2 tb storage drive, AMD 5700xt gpu, 650watt power supply. I am thinking of having this built, so nothing is set in stone.
Re: Small Guide on PC's
As a pure AMD build, you can’t really get much better unless you go to a threadripper cpu, but that would be super overkill.
Off the top of my head, I believe the 5700 XT has comparable performance to an RTX 2070 which is good for playing games at ultra settings on 1080p and could likely do 4K on lower settings.

Re: Small Guide on PC's
Is a tower cpu cooler enough or should I get water cooling? I am planning on running this into a 4 k tv will there be any problem there?
Re: Small Guide on PC's
Unless you plan on overclocking, you could go with air cooling, otherwise I’d recommend going with an aio liquid cooler unless you want to delve into water cooling which from what I’ve seen can be quite meticulous.

Re: Small Guide on PC's
Ok! I have no plans to overclock, just want to be able to play 4x maps and some mods, and not have it be a stutter fest! Thank you for the help!
Re: Small Guide on PC's
Yeah you shouldn’t have any issues unless you have some bad mods or a whole lot in a single area.

Re: Small Guide on PC's
With the current problems on the 5700xt and amd's seemingly lack of interest in fixing it I would not recommend that card. Oddly the 5500 and 5600 cards aren't having the same issues with their drivers.

Can modding be done on a run of the mill off the shelf laptop ?

Re: Small Guide on PC's
It depends on the hardware inside to be honest. If you’re just editing then a majority of it can certainly be done.
As for other stuff, I’d say download the giants editor and see if it runs. If it does then you should be good.
