Are you thinking of centripetal force?

No he means this

Same thing happens with wheels. At a certain speed they even seem to spin backwards

Stroboscopic or something like that.

EDIT: Need to stop replying before reading the rest of the thread 😂😂

I don't think there's a specific term for it. It's just as you say, the frames per second of the camera syncs with the rotation speed of the objects (as you say helicopter rotors are the common example). It can also cause the rotor to look as though it's going backwards or much more slowly than it actually is.

In FS you can actually see this happen with vehicle wheels too.

Edit: bugger! Made the same mistake as Guil in not spotting another page!

I'm just mad that the little toolbox on the front left of the machine doesn't open up to let you see the little screwdrivers and wrenches. C'mon Giants! Do better.

Rather than posting a thread complaining about the fan not spinning, you should make a bug report in the bug report section using the proper format, how to report a bug, so the team don't have to run all over the entire forum looking for it :)

The fan related bug report for the Fendt was labeled (Won't Fix), so doing a new report would probably be a waste of time.
