Why no numberplates on vehicles

Just courious, most tractors/trailers in EU have it. So why leave that out? Rules?

Because there's already a ruckus over the red abs white striped signs, Giants didn't want to give us something else to fight about.

Imagine what would happen if it has the wrong number plate on there as well!

I don't see why they could have a holding block on any model that would allow an image to be placed into it (similar to the way shirt colours work), that way you could have whatever colour plate you wanted.

The UN recognizes 195 countries on earth. Add to that in North America alone, each of the 50 United States and 13 Canadian Provinces/Territories have their own license (number) plate, I think Giants saw there wasn't really going to be a feasible way to satisfy everybody. Different shapes, sizes and colors, it's just much too diverse to really make it work.

Now some mods have them, like I think it's the Lizard F146 trailer, has a few different ones available, and the first Case 1255/1455 XL has a blue and white one on it, though I'm afraid I must admit I do not know which nation it comes from.

I was merely commenting that there are so many different styles of plates in the world, it would be nigh impossible to accommodate every one of them.

There r also quite a few countries that dont have numberplates on machines like tractors =)

I use a modded Deutz tractor that came with German plates. I edited the texture file, so I have Dutch plates now. I do the same with other vehicles that have license plates in texture (dds) file.
There are mods with selectable license plates.

But NA dont need/have licence plates on tractors iirc. Easy fix else, a config, yes/no to numberplate Ohwell
