i gave up on overkreback

Post by chaskuchar1 »

i want to play a farm with small equipment and hard mode without borrowing any money. games that give you lots of equipment in hard mode are not interesting because you got to sell the equipment and then buy the stuff you want and still have a ton of money. not fun at all. but overkreback was interesting until i trled to grow soybeans. just unable to harvest them. they don't get ripe until the last of fall (playing seasons on console, 3 day seasons) and it rains and even snows. maybe i need a seasons overlay but i just play it out of the box. anyway never was able to harvest soybeans so i am on to another map. chas

Why not try a different geo?

Ya it’s not the maps fault.

Isn't that the point of season? So sometimes crops fail?

If you are playing without a geo then the default weather is based on the uk where they are not really grown in any amount here and the weather is normally as per seasons at that time of year.

Maybe someday they might design Seasons so that it automatically pick up the right Geo for the map you pick.

3 day seasons is not recommended. 9 is recommended at the low end.

6 days seems to be ok too but, yeah, I'd avoid 3-day seasons.

ok, i changed to the old farm countryside. esxcellent map and i played it for 6 day. however, 6 day just is taking too long. i don't do animals yet so it takes time to go through the days from planting to harvest. i can do some fertilizing for other farmers and put up some hay also but other than that, what do i do to use up the time chedly farms? thanks for the inputs. chas

It sounds like seasons might not be your cup of tea. Even with the desired geo, you may still have a lot of waiting to do if your crops/fields are limited and you don't want to fast forward time. Seasons isn't for everyone, so don't feel bad if it doesn't work for you.

Play 9 day seasons at 15x speed which equates to 3 day seasons at 5x...might make it better for you

If you do choose 3 day seasons, load in a warmer geo and the problem would be solved. I run 3 day seasons with the midwest geo and get on just fine with that.
