You download exe file, enter the code you get by e-mail and then it will install it to your mod folder.FarmCatJenkins wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 5:05 pm That third screenshot looks pretty cool. On another note out of my curiosity, if you preorder from the website and you have the Steam version, how does that work? Do you download it from there on the release date and just chuck it in your mods folder?
Awesome guess,well done
Long and the short of it, licencing is not an issue with mods as they are user created. If Giants create it, or distribute it (console) then they need a licence. There is some variations but I'm not going in to it.Drmattymd wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 3:13 amNobody from Giants has ever stated or confirmed this, this statement is something that some forum user threw out there and others repeated it. When has Giants rejected a JD mod because they didnt have the license? Not since 17 when they didnt have a JD license period.CowsGoMoo wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 2:40 am
As for the argument "well they giants has this this and that from (enter brand here) then they can get this" well no. Their license for a particular brand doesn't mean everything from that brand is covered, it covers certain things. And anything that isn't already covered, lets say giants wanted to add the new 8rx, it would have to be licensed. Which may include having to renue an entire licensing contract not just add to it. John Deere has final say as to what can get modeled and be brought into the game, giants (and as we all know by now mods too).
That might be a new favorite windrower.
