Happy Animals fixes
I wanted to make users of the "Happy Animals" mod of a few issues I've discovered, but let you know that an update is on it's way.
- Currently, if a trough is overfull, the excess is getting sold off at store prices + 2.5%. Overfull troughs can occur as a result of selling animals, changing time scale is Seasons, or as a result of a couple of other issues in the mod. This was not intended as it creates quite an economic windfall! This is changed in the update to leave the excess.
- TMR is getting overfilled due to the different way Giants calculates capacity for serial eaters (cows). This is fixed in the update to no longer overfill TMR.
- Troughs that accept multiple food types could get overfilled. This would occur if the player had manually added a food type other than the one added by the mod. Animals affected include sheep, chickens and some pig food groups. This is fixed in the update.
I submitted version 1.0.1.0 today to Giants for certification. Thank you for your patience. I'm sorry for any issues this may have caused anyone.

Hi StratoViking. And thanks for sharing your mod!
I was wondering if this could be done a little more advanced - I'm not a modder, this is just a thought/question:
Is it possible to make a shed for hay and straw, a pit where you have made the silage, and what else the animals need, and then hire the worker to take care of the animals, mix the TMR, give them straw, top up the water. But she/he can only give the animals the food You as player have filled the different sheds/silos with, instead of just paying the worker for filling up their troughs..
You know, so we still have to farm to make straw, hay and silage and then we have a worker to take care of the animals.
Does it make sense?

Djgoham ran into a problem with the maize plus extension not being compatible with this mod so I was wondering if you could get in contact with the Farming Agency to see if they want to collabStratoViking wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 6:24 pm I wanted to make users of the "Happy Animals" mod of a few issues I've discovered, but let you know that an update is on it's way.

Thank you for your feedback. Drawing food from silos is on my to-do list. I've been considering different options for designating which foods, etc., but I'll look into your suggestion as a possible option.JensChrDK wrote: ↑Mon Jul 06, 2020 10:41 am Is it possible to make a shed for hay and straw, a pit where you have made the silage, and what else the animals need, and then hire the worker to take care of the animals, mix the TMR, give them straw, top up the water. My current priority is stability and mod-capability followed by multiplayer support. So, drawing from existing stocks is still several weeks out.

Edit: Ok, I see the issue. Maize Plus modifies what and how most animals eat. I've been investigating a data driven approach that would actually work with Maize Plus. However, I'm undecided on how to handle feed for which no store or market pricing exists, e.g., TMR in the vanilla game.

Wauv, I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with!StratoViking wrote: ↑Mon Jul 06, 2020 3:53 pmThank you for your feedback. Drawing food from silos is on my to-do list. I was using this mod last nigh, and after a few in game days, the cows are doing good, no problems. But I buy sheep, and horses, and let a few in game days pass, but the sheep and cows start to die. There not getting food or water, not sure what the problem is. So I sell the remaining sheep and horses, and my cows start getting food again.

If you can post a log, that would be great. Start the game and let it run past 8 am. Then you can close the game and post the resulting log. Thanks.Electsilver8 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 5:16 pm I was using this mod last nigh, and after a few in game days, the cows are doing good, no problems. Re: Happy Animals fixes
Hope someone on here can help! I've been playing FS19 for a couple months now and like to do animals mostly. I can get a couple of the other animal upkeep mods to work but they only take care of water, straw, and cleanup...no food. I ran across Happy Animals and thought I'd maybe solved my problem! I uninstalled the other animal upkeep mods, downloaded HA mod and put it in the mods folder. But it doesn't show up in the in-game mods list to activate/deactivate....just isn't there. Below is my log...seem to be getting an error message with Happy Animals. Can someone help? Thanks in advance!

Re: Happy Animals fixes
Hello,
I was wondering if you ever got around to making a GUI for Happy Animals?
Really love the mod, it makes taking care of livestock a bit easier.
Thank you!

Lifting up an older topic but was just wondering has there been any updates to this mod, specifically for the function that helper would use your existing stock to feed your animals. Kinda pointless otherwise using this mod and making i.e. TMR
